Congress candidate from Banaskantha, Ganiben Thakor, also has to seek financial help from people to raise funds for his election campaign expenses.
A few days ago, senior Congress leader Vivek Tankha had also said that Congress does not have money for campaigning. He alleged that on the instructions of the government, the Income Tax Department had seized the party's accounts saying that Congress owed tax of Rs 3560 crore. He had said that Congress does not have the money. You are taking away the remaining money from the bank. Vivek had said, 'Where are we campaigning, where are posters and banners visible? Whatever little we are saying is propaganda. There is no money. How will there be publicity when any party has it?
